Winfried Strauss is a composer and pianist based in Berlin, Germany. His new experimental/minimal album Textures of Being explores the realms of contrast and the juxtaposition between opposites. Drawing inspiration from modern/minimal classical pioneers such as Max Richter, Volker Bertelmann and Philip Glass, Strauss weaves together piano compositions with elements of dark wave, techno and ambient music. "They're inspired by dark and ugly emotions but beautiful things as well. So I invite people to feel these feelings and join the ride."
