When he's not performing or composing, Alex takes a keen interest in the North East Folk and Acoustic music scene. Along with Icy Sedgwick, he runs Old Tom, a monthly Folk and Acoustic night at the Globe in Newcastle, designed to celebrate established acts while providing a showcase space for emerging talent.
In 2018, AJ Moon wrote and released two singles with the now defunct band the Violet Bunnies. Aria and Grass are both on Spotify and on all good online stores.
